I recently attended the 7th UKPoreMat conference in Liverpool, an event focused on porous materials and their diverse applications. I was excited to present part of my PhD research, which involves designing novel mixed matrix membranes to improve gas permselectivity efficiency. This work addresses the key challenge of balancing permeability and selectivity, aiming to create more efficient gas separation processes.
Presenting my research as a poster allowed me to share my findings, receive valuable feedback, and engage in stimulating discussions with other experts in the field. It was a rewarding experience that has provided fresh insights into my work. I was also fortunate to receive a travel grant from the RSC Interest Group on Porous Materials, which helped make attending the conference possible.
Overall, UKPoreMat was a fantastic opportunity to network with researchers and professionals, and I left feeling inspired and motivated to push my research further.
