Me and My Research Background
About Me. Ghasemi
This is Mehdi Ghasemi. As a postgraduate researcher, my study focuses on leveraging molecular models and advanced computational techniques to gain profound insights into key dynamic environmental processes, in order to enhance comprehension and representation of pivotal phenomena.
My aim is (1) to bridge the gap between microscale molecular interactions and macroscale phenomena, thereby facilitating a comprehensive understanding of complex systems and enabling predictive modelling at larger scales, and (2) to rationalise and interpret experimentally observed behaviour at atomistic resolution, followed by providing insights and proposing new directions for further experimental investigation.

Scope of Research
The scope of my research encompasses essential elements in the transition to net-zero emissions, including:
Geological Storage of Low-Carbon Hydrogen
Carbon Capture and Storage
Gas Separation
